Lorenzo may have married Angela De Martino in 1868. Lorenzo
came twice to the U.S.: first in 1886, apparently alone, and again in
1892, accompanied it seems by a Francesca Scalpone, two years younger than he.
Ordinarily it would be assumed that Lorenzo went "home" to find a bride.
Unfortunately there is a discrepancy between the names Angela and Francesca. Is
she the
same woman? Still under research.
