Carmela married Alfonso Scalpone, son of Nicola Scalpone and Raffaele Benedetta, in 1874. (Alfonso Scalpone was born in 1853.)
Manzione is apparently an old and surviving name in Contursi, and there is still
a Manzione's "supermarket" to be found there.
