Joe Dave retired from the USAF with the rank of Lt. Col. He flew the
famed P-38 photo reconnaissance plane
during WWII. Here are some great old pictures providing a glimpse of that
blazing career.
Capt. Joe Dave. Errol Flynn had nothing on

Algiers, 1943/4. P-38s flew reconnaissance out of Africa over Italy. Joe is
front row left in the photo at left,
and second from right in the other photo.
Joe's group was headed by FDR's son Elliott
